Abstract
We suggest a simplified computer-aided detection (CADe) system for breast masses in reconstructed digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) volumes using a three-dimensional Hough transform. The CADe system consisted of the binarization, the Hessian-based object response calculation, and a three-dimensional Hough transform steps. The obtained false-positive rate was 1.85 per DBT volume with a sensitivity of 94.5%.
