초록
Femtocell networks aim to further extend the coverage and efficiently utilize the resources in low cost manners. The handover scheme for femtocell networks ensures mobile stations to avoid handover to heavily loaded femtocells, as well as avoid unnecessary handovers. In this paper we propose a prediction based game theoretic base station association scheme. This scheme is designed to choose the optimal base station that would provide maximum throughput and reduced handover frequency. Several simulation scenarios were analyzed to show the performance improvements in terms of throughput and handover frequency.
