Abstract
For the large-scale assembly of SWNT devices, surface-programmed assembly by aid of standard micro-lithography was proposed. This method enabled to prepare a single layer of pristine SWNT network. We developed a highly-sensitive gas sensor based on pristine single wall nanotube(SWNT) monolayer by using the technique. The sensor device was tested by flowing in various concentration conditions of NO2 gas. As the surrounding medium was cycled NO2 on/off and UV illumination, rapid and reversible changes of the s-SWNT junction resistance occurred in step with the changing environment. The device showed high sensitivity to very low concentration NO2 gas at room temperature.
