- Enhanced 9-1-1 (E9-1-1) Service is a public safety feature that allows customers to report an emergency or request emergency assistance by dialing the 3-digit telephone number "9-1-1." Emergency calls originated in this manner are then routed to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) based on the location from which the call was originated.
