Abstract
Vehicle is no longer just a means of transportation, It is combined with the IT technology, new services related to vehicle are created, and used (ex. insurance, and logistics services, navigation services, Black Box, remote vehicle diagnosis and management services). It can dominate the market than to the third party, based on real data actually collected by the insurance companies based on that information, and new services easily, quickly able to provide, with an aggressive marketing strategy. In this paper, we reviewed the new services and business models related to the recent car insurance, and presented scenarios quickly and efficiently to provide insurance services for new insurance service. we defines the kind of data that must be collected from the vehicle, and two kinds of initialization scenarios to support efficient interworking between OBD device and insurance servers located on the Internet. we present a new insurance service offering, based on the information from the OBD device, we’ve developed. Using this system, auto insurance company can develop various products that different in driving mileage, pattern, and safety.
