Abstract
This paper presents the concept of "DALI over IP" based on bidirectional LED lighting control networks and evaluates the successfully received data rate for "Greendata on VLC" which has the features of transmitting not only the LED-ID (positioning-ID) but also broadcast messages controlled by green color LED in color mixed White LED bulb. Both "DALI over IP" and "Green-data on VLC" could be combined toward new LED lighting applications, for example, the indoor navigation based on LED lighting. The evaluation result of "Green-data on VLC" shows the successfully received data rate is 100% when the receiver with a green filter is located in the range of 2 meters. And the light intensity of "Green-data on VLC" can vary under 50% at 525nm, which human eye can't sense flickers and color variations.
