Abstract
Embedded systems have always been held to a higher reliability and predictability standard than general-purpose computing. Cyber-Physical systems (CPS) are an integration of such embedded systems via networks. We propose CPS Modeling and Simulation (M&S) techniques used for modeling a variety of complex embedded systems with a concern of reusability and interchangeability for environmental data. Since there are various types of models used within the CPS M&S domain, the management of data model is very important. Therefore we used SEDRIS -an ISO/IEC standard widely adopted within the M&S community for the representation of data pertaining to a Synthetic Environment (SE). By applying SEDRIS to CPS M&S it results in a cost-effective and timesaving because it is not necessary to rebuild environmental data over different domains since the environmental data that were developed for a particular domain became reusable and interoperable. In this paper, we introduce what and how to apply SEDRIS to CPS M&S for enhancing reusability and interoperability.
