Abstract
In this paper, we investigate characteristics of multi-link channel and propose the cross-correlation models of it based on measurements in cooperative multiple input multiple output (MIMO) scenario at 3.7 GHz. The statistics of the cross-correlation for the large-scale parameters (LSPs) of two channels are investigated with respect to a geometrical variable, i.e. the average distance defined to be the arithmetic mean of the distances from a base station (BS) to a mobile station (MS), and from a relay station (RS) to the MS. The modeling results, in terms of analytical curves fitted to the empirical scatter plots of the cross-correlation coefficients, are presented. We also explain qualitatively the general trends of the cross-correlation coefficients of the LSPs with respect to the average distance. © 2012 IEEE.
