Abstract
We have obtained substantial light extraction enhancement by using nano-scale surface modified glasses and a planarization layer with high refractive index. The surface modification has been carried out using dewetted metal mask and chemical etching. The high refractive index planarization layer has been prepared from TiO 2 colloidal sol. The OLEDs with the light extraction layer showed 33% and 22% of external quantum efficiency improvement compared to the OLED without the light extraction layer.
