- Abstract
- In MPLS-TP packet transport networks, shared mesh protection switching is an essential technology to protect multiple end-to-end connections within a protection domain and enables multiple protection paths to share the same set of network resources. In this paper, we introduce a shared mesh protection switching method and investigate its scalability in terms of the sub-path maintenance elements (SPMEs).
