Abstract
We propose a novel calibration method between wide angle stereo cameras and dual narrow angle cameras which are mounted on a pan-tilt unit. We suggest the usage of a virtual image plane which simplifies the complicated calibration between wideangle camera and narrow-angle camera on pan-tilt unit to a simple 3D-2D projection. 3D-2D projection matrix is calculated from the 3D points which are obtained from the stereo camera and 2D points which are obtained from pan and tilt angles. In the experimental results of our eye tracking system, the proposed method applied shows that the narrow angle camera can track an eye robustly even though the person moves around in a wide area at 2m distance.
