Abstract
This paper presents the negative effect for the detection of the data signal in the case that the receiver receives simultaneously both the data signal and the IR signal with different subcarrier spacing in WMN systems. In addition, we propose a simple solution for the avoidance of ICI by the IR signal. As shown in simulation results, the ICI caused by the IR signal is the dominant factor in performance degradation of the data signal when the received power of the IR signal is stronger than that of the data signal. Also, the structure designed by the proposed guideline for no ICI maintains its performance regardless of the power of the IR signal. © 2012 IEEE.
