RFID(Radio Frequency Identification)는 21세기 가장 크게 기여할 10대 기술 중의 하나로 평가되고 있으며,전산업 분야에 걸쳐 적용 및 활용 가능한 유망기술이다. 각국은 RFID 기술개발 및 산업활성화를 위해 노력하고있으며, 국내에서도 RFID를 신성장동력 산업으로 선정하여 지원정책을 적극 추진 중에 있다. 본 연구의 목적은RFID 실행 성공에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지 분석함으로써 RFID 수요를 촉진하고 활성화하는데 필요한시사점들을 제시하고 있다. 본 연구는 기존의 선행연구들을 대상으로 RFID 실행성공에 영향을 미치는 요인들을사용자 요인, 기술적 요인, 조직적 요인, 외부적 요인들로 분류하여 탐색하였으며, 이를 기반으로 개념적 연구모형 및 가설을 설정하였다. 그리고 RFID를 도입하여 실행하고 있는 기업들을 대상으로 데이터를 수집하고, 구조방정식모형 분석기법에 의해 연구모형 및 가설을 검증하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 실증 분석결과를 기반으로RFID 수요를 촉진하고 산업을 활성화하는데 필요한 시사점들을 제시하였다.
