Abstract
POINTS(Packet-Optical Integrated Network Transport Switch) and MONCP(Multi-layer Optical Network Control Platform) are the multi-layer convergence projects toward high-bandwidth and optimized path control based GMPLS control plane and management plane. The goal of this solution is the integration of packet and optical layer telecommunications and its management in PBB-TE, MPLS-TP, TDM and WDM transmission technology. In this paper, the results of the field test are introduced to verify the efficiency and feasibility of the automatic label switched path control with the issue to bring transport convergence including various levels of one-click provisioning and performance of one-point management. Finally, the plan and potential issues of next phase are also discussed.
