Abstract
In this paper, we propose a method and apparatus for controlling traffic according to internet user's online behavior at variance with regular Internet user behavior patterns. Additionally using statistic data of the user behavior which is updated in the subdivided time period, traffic control system could be able to control internet traffic more specifically and accurately.When traffic abnormalities are detected, traffic control system is performed according to priority of user list considering a user's behavior, thereby traffic control system could minimize any damage against total network traffic caused by abnormal traffic and enhance network stability, relative to a method of controlling abnormal traffic by using only traffic threshold values. Additionally using statistic data of the user behavior which is updated in the subdivided time period, traffic control system could be able to control internet traffic more specifically and accurately.
