- Abstract
- This research examines the ICT market trends based on a meta-analysis of recent data by 45 research institutes and consulting companies, such as Gartner, Techcast, MIT, ETRI, and others in countries at the forefront in the advancement in technology (e.g., Japan, European countries, South Korea, and the US). Important findings of the study are: (1) platform technology and device technology are found to be the most important technology in the value chain of the ICT industry; (2) South Korea and the US have chosen platform technology, Japan has chosen device technology, and European countries have chosen platform and content technology on which to respectively focus their research; (3) intelligence, convergence, and connectivity related to technology are found to be important factors in the ICT environment.
