Abstract
A node over peer-to-peer networks (P2P) is highly transient and heterogeneous, even though collective availability can be provided in nature. In order to minimize the undesirable effects of churn, we propose a new peer selection scheme using a circular diagram based weight adjustment, which transforms decisions of similarity or preference on corresponding objectives into a single utility represented by the weighted sum. The superiority of the proposed scheme is evaluated and demonstrated under the segment streaming services with different intensity of churn.
