- Abstract
- In this paper, we propose a musical rhythm expression method using tactile device. A musical rhythm generally refers to movement marked by the regulated sequence of strong and weak elements. This is an important factor when it comes to understanding music. To express rhythm, we use the musical feature onset. Based on the onset feature, we generate the sinusoidal vibration signal by applying the human perceptual abilities between auditory and tactile systems. The generated vibration signal is modulated by root mean square values and represented through the tactile device.
