Abstract
We had conducted driving tests in real urban roads to investigate the economic drive characteristics in the same driving route environments and compared driving speeds, fuel consumptions and driving duration between the most high-mileage and low-mileage drivers. This study showed that although the average speed of urban driving is slow, if the more driving time increases then the more fuel consumptions increases and if a lot of driving with a speed of more than 60km/h then the more fuel of the car consumed. When a driver wants to drive in the most economical environment, it is better to avoid congestion time and does not exceed maximum driving speed as 60km/h in the urban road.
