Abstract
In this paper we suggest a simulation design for ship-to-ship/ship-to-shore communication to analyze communication performance on sea. We design the simulator based on BER data patterns which are input into PHY layer of network protocol stack to simulate various sea environments. To do this, we define BER data patterns using BER generator, and we simulate four different kinds of BER data patterns as ship-toship/ship-to-shore communication under different sea condition. The simulation results show that our BER based simulation design is good to configure various sea conditions easily.
