- Abstract
- This paper relates to a technology of defending a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack, and more particularly, to a technology of detecting and responding to an application layer (layer 7)-based slow DDoS attack that causes connection resource consumption using only a small amount of traffic. We propose a new method used session states tracking and managing, and the specific session state measuring based on every flow entry to detect this type of slow DDoS attack.
