Abstract
This paper proposes an embedded ITS system for V2V andV2I communications. The proposed system adopts WAVE technology to provide a safety service for a fast moving vehicle and transportation. WAVE specification is designed to minimize the packet latency by simplifying the call connection steps and operating multi-channel switching scheme. The proposed embedded ITS system is implemented and tested under various test conditions. The throughput results showed around 5.6 Mbps between two devices. The test results will verify that WAVE will be a solution for a vehicle safety service because of low PER and latency.
