Abstract
We manage newly developed various personal health devices (PHDs) from the R&D leading technologies of ETRI. It can be very difficult to find good business models for making new technologies into businesses because of the gap between technologies and business. To discover new business models for PHDs for their fast commercialization, useful application services are suggested along with their need to be classified according to their applications as u-safety or uwellness services. To satisfy user requirements and fast commercialization, we have established the u-Health city of Daegu and Daejeon Metropolitan Cities as a test-bed for field tests within the local domestic area. With the helpful advice of specialists, PHDs and services are upgraded, improved or have been commercialized.
