Abstract
In asymmetric stereoscopic 3D services, the picture quality issue should be considered caused from quality mismatch of the two view images. When the difference between the qualities of the two view images is considered as significant, it is desirable to use picture quality enhancement for the smaller image. In this paper, we present a patch-work based video enhancement for asymmetric 3D service. The presented approach utilizes scale-invariant local features for the correspondence between the left and right image. During upscaling of the small right images, the areas matched by feature points are modified by the corresponding patch of the large left images. Through the experiment results, the effectiveness for the proposed method will be provided.
