Abstract
Stroke is a disease caused by disturbance in the blood supply to the brain due to blockage or hemorrhage. Currently, 15 million people suffer stroke worldwide each year, and more than 130,000 people die each year in the United States. Concretely, if someone suffers a stroke, he should be arrived at the hospital in 3 hours in order to survive. If he arrives late, he might be in a vegetable state. That is, a stroke disease strongly needs real-time management service. In this paper, we propose a personalized realhospital and health records measured in daily home life. The proposed system provides a personalized stroke management service for each patient based on the medical record of hospital, and provides a real-time stroke management service based on real-time health status measured at home. To show the effectiveness of the proposed system, we are constructing a stroke management test-bed of about 2,500 patients in cooperation with Severance Hospital, which is one of the biggest hospitals in Korea. Based on the test-bed experiment, we will improve health-care of the stroke patients.
