Abstract
In this paper, practical implementation of intrusion detection method based on the sound field variation of audio frequency in the security space is presented. The sound field formed by the multi-tone sound source is measured and analyzed when an intruder is positioned in general sound space. In previous researches, the feasibility of the proposed detection algorithm was verified in anechoic room. And, in order to distinguish the sensitive variation in room transfer function according to the sound source frequency, the multi-tone with center frequency is proposed. In this paper, practical implementation issues are presented such as reducing power consumption, degree of credit in case of engaging of wind or temperature, and the long term stability in the general security space of the proposed method. The discrete type multi-tone is useful for practical application of the proposed method. When the wind of 5 m/s is applied in security space, the proposed method presents the same intrusion detecting performance with 10 % S/N increase. It is quite good robustness performance to wind turbulence. Finally, the proposed method is operated for 1000 times that last about 24 hours. It shows no mis-alarm nor lost-alarm during long term reliability performance.
