- Abstract
- Two kinds of communication protocols are involved in the home control services with smart devices: remote home control protocol at the outside of the home and home network protocol within home. There are some methods to enable interoperability among applications developed for different communications protocols. To provide protocol interoperability of home control services with smart devices, this paper proposes the implementation of protocol interoperability model based on the method using an Interworking Function (IWF) for the application to communicate with other applications regardless of the underlying communications protocol.
