- Abstract
- In this paper, an advanced managing scheme for reference pictures in the codec which is combined with Scalable Video Coding and Multi-view Video Coding is proposed. Since the combined video coding has to deal with a lot of reference pictures within the limited DPB size, the efficient management scheme is one of the crucial techniques in the combined codec. In order to manage the reference pictures efficiently, we design the high-level syntax considering the coding structure in the combined video codecs.
