Abstract
The present study relates to a panoramic video monitoring system where a cameraman can perform color compensation and camera calibration conveniently and accurately when multi-cameras are used to shoot simultaneously as if a wide 180° FOV lens in a single camera were used. A conventional shooting monitoring method, in which each single camera image is switched one by one, or a monitoring method using a chessboard as in a monitoring system, cannot eliminate a problem of mismatch color and camera calibration error occurred during a multi-camera based panoramic video shot. Therefore, the present study proposes a panoramic video monitoring system, in which features of color compensation, camera calibration and pre-stitching, and 2D/3D view rendering are included, to eliminate quality reduction in advance thereby acquiring a high-quality panoramic video.
