Abstract
Microelectrode for neural signal recording was modified with Au-Pt nanoparticles. Impedance of Au-Pt NP-modified electrode was decreased by one order of magnitude compared with bare gold electrode which results in decreasing baseline noise. The neuron cell viability on Au-Pt NPs is better than on Pt NPs. Au NP- and Au-Pt NP-modified MEAs showed reasonable spike recording capability, however, Pt NP-modified one showed poor recording performance.
