Abstract
In this paper we describe our study about simulation of ship-to-ship/ship-to-shore communication based on multi-hop network to support broad-band wireless communication on sea environments. We apply PHY-Layer based on BER(Bit Error Ratio) to QualNet simulator to simulate various sea states. We define BER data patterns using BER generator and simulate four different kinds of BER data patterns as different sea conditions. We simulate and analyse ad-hoc routing protocols with BER data patterns in QualNet. The simulation results show that our BER based simulation design is good to configure various sea conditions easily.
