- Abstract
- Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) is a regulatory policy that requires the generation companies to increase the proportion of renewable energy sources. Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) is a relatively new market instrument created by separating the attributes of renewable energy from the physical electricity produced. This paper reviews the management of REC system for renewable energy. In this paper, REC system improved since the management for the term of validity of REC and optimized the REC trade in energy markets. The important findings and comments on the results are given to provide an insight on business model for renewable energy.
