- Abstract
- ITU-T has identified context awareness as a key capability for providing 'smartness' in Smart Ubiquitous Networks (SUN). Based on standardization activity for SUN, this paper introduces context awareness for SUN, including functional model and operations as challenges for various networking capabilities using context awareness. It aims to stimulate the development of standards and urgent technical solutions through related research work for SUN as an early realization of Future Networks.
