Abstract
As the recent popularity of various Internet services makes power consumption of server clusters increase, the efficient power management technique of server clusters is required. This paper describes how to design the policy of the model-based autonomous dynamic power management of a server cluster with consideration of multiple goals of energy consumption reduction and satisfaction of performance. In this paper, we compared some multiobjective optimization techniques of the policy design through simulation, and tackled the characteristics of the techniques. Also, we discussed how to derive the satisfactory policy of the autonomous power management of a server cluster.
