Abstract
PCI Express is an industrial standard system bus for connecting among processors and IO devices. PCI Express device is considered as a good candidate for system interconnect, because of its fast speed, low power consumption, and good protocol efficiency[1]. This paper describes the design, implementation, and early evaluation of system interconnect cards having multiple 20 Gbps connections using PCI Express. The early evaluation of the implemented card shows the performance of 769.9 MB/s (average) without DMA.
