- Abstract
- Smart homes have different characteristics, such as appliances and residents. Therefore, definition of profiles and context is needed to use them for managing energy consumption. This paper describes a mechanism of profile-based energy management mechanism for smart homes. The profiles for a home are used to provide adequate services for home energy management.
