Abstract
In this paper, we present a shared-band technique to improve the spectral efficiency in two way satellite transmission system. The shared-band signals of this satellite transmission system can share the downlink frequency band in forward and return link channel. However, the interference cancellation should be necessarily performed to distinguish a desired one from the shared-band signals. And a post-compensation based on RLS algorithm is applied to mitigate a nonlinear effect of the Ku-band satellite transponder. Additionally, the effect of residual frequency offset needs to be attentively considered in the interference canceller because this frequency offset affects considerably the detection of desired signal. The performance of this interference cancellation technique is demonstrated through the simulation.
