Abstract
This paper introduces the concept and system implementation for simple and fast approach of the moving vehicle’s localization and navigation in the guided path using the UHF RFID technologies. The system consists of the RFID pairs (tag and reader), controller (PLC), wireless devices (WLAN module) and a server that inform the AGV (moving vehicle) status, localization and tracking to navigate the AGV to the destination. RFID tags are placed on the floor and the RFID reader that is set on the AGV is stably detecting it. Therefore, this system is appropriate for our application that should be low-cost and easily adapted to the different working fields.
