Abstract
Due to the increasing popularity of content delivery service, many recent research activities have addressed the locality of content delivery from network edge by introducing storage module into routers in order to reduce the traffic volume and avoid congestion. This paper propose a persistent Request-Routing System (RRS) that can redirect all the requests for the same content to a particular content router in order to consume a single multicast stream only during the prefix length of that content. With the persistent RRS, this paper also proposes the hybrid CDN system that combines novel content routers in underlay with the CDN server in overlay by employing the prefix caching and the multicast schemes respectively. Finally we evaluate and compare the performance of two content delivery schemes when multiple content routers exist.
