Abstract
In this paper we suggest a matching techniques between 3D printed organ model based on patient CT data, and the laparoscopic video. In the process a virtual anatomical 3D model is created based on the CT diagnostic image, and a physical model was generated based on 3D anatomical model with 3D printer. A stereo video of physical model was taken with a stereo laparoscope camera and depth images were generated. By matching the depth image and the virtual 3D anatomical models, an object from laparoscope video can be localized in the anatomical models. This information can be used for image guided surgery.
