Abstract
Nowadays technologies development to apply cloud platform into broadcasting service have been actively conducted. Cloud platform provides resource effectiveness for the entire process in a broadcasting service. In this paper, we propose High Speed UHD Video Editing System which provides high speed editing function and high speed UHD video encoding and decoding function. To provide UHD editing service on various terminal devices and network environments, the proposed system provide proxy editing with HD or quarter HD (qHD) resolution browsing. To provide compatibility with commercial broadcasting editing system, the proposed system support MXF (material eXchange Format) and EDL (Edit Decision List) format. In order to save the bitrate of storage and network, it is used HEVC RExt with ultra-low delay (ULD) GOP. The HEVC RExt video encoder and decoding module in the proposed system is developing to handle more than 2 times for UHD 60fps video.
