Abstract
An X-band six-way waveguide power divider using the metallic wall is proposed. For good impedance matching over the broad frequency band, the metallic wall having an inductive component is positioned on the side of the output waveguide. Simulated and measured results show low return loss and low insertion loss. Compared to the waveguide using an inductive post, the proposed divider has much broader bandwidth, 14.8 and 10.2, from simulation and measurement, respectively. This broadband waveguide divider can be used in many microwave and millimetre-wave applications. © 2010 The Institution of Engineering and Technology.
