초록
This paper presents a band-efficient stereoscopic 3D system design and video coding technologies for Fixed & Mobile hybrid UHD 3DTV using scalable HEVC. The proposed system can support layered 4K-UHDTV, Mobile HD & UHD 3DTVservices at the same time within RF 6MHz bandwidth using Scalable HEVC video codec. The main feature of the proposed system is that, it is able to provide 4K-UHD 3D service option to the terrestrial broadcaster with "ZERO byte OVERHEAD" while maintaining the 4K-UHD fixed TV & Mobile HDTV layered services. This means that the system does not require any additional payload for providing 4K-UHD 3D service. Therefore, the proposed system provides maximum spectral efficiency & service flexibilities to broadcasters in terrestrial realistic broadcasting service domain.
