- Abstract
- Spectrum sharing in 5GHz unlicensed band have received great attention because 3GPP have studied LTE operation in that band where Wi-Fi systems have been already popularly deployed. Therefore LTE as a newcomer have to consider functionalities to well coexist with Wi-Fi. So, 3GPP intends to comply with the regulatory requirement of listen-before-talk (LBT) in Europe. In this paper, we discuss the regulatory requirement and proposed functionalities of LTE for sharing the unlicensed band with Wi-Fi. Furthermore we introduce developing FBE based LTE testbed.
