Abstract
In this paper, a high-speed CAN(Controller Area Network) transceiver for automotive system is described. In order to satisfy the CAN bus common-mode voltage range specifications, the CAN bus driver circuit and input scale-down circuit of receiver is proposed. This CAN transceiver is fabricated in a 0.35um BCDMOS technology with active area of 1.26mmX0.94mm. Through measurement, the compliance of the ISO 11898-2/5 standard that describe the specifications of high-speed CAN transceiver is verified.
