Abstract
We demonstrate greatly improved light out-coupling efficiency and undistorted light output in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) containing a nanosized random texture layer (nRTL). The nRTL is fabricated on a glass substrate by an inexpensive and simple printing process. Compared to a conventional device, OLEDs with the nRTL showed greatly improved power efficiency (+102%) at a luminance of 3000 cd/m2. The nRTL is free of viewing-angle-dependent color and brightness distortion and suitable for industrial mass production. © 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
