Abstract
White light emitting devices were fabricated using the blends of poly(fluorine) (PF) and poly(1,4-phenylenevinylene) (PPV) derivatives. Thin films were obtained by spin-coating on fused quartz wafers to investigate UV-vis absorption and fluorescence properties. An inefficient energy transfer between PF and PPV derivatives was observed which was a good advantage to obtain white light emitting device. Light emitting device was fabricated using the polymer blends and their characteristics were investigated. The emissions of each polymer were observed in electroluminescence spectra and white light emission was achieved. © 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
