Abstract
Corresponding to the rapid growth of web-based applications and service offerings, there has been a significant increase in web traffic owing to the use of the HTTP. The virtual desktop service based on cloud computing also try to use the HTTP to extend the service area. Thus, we define a signature model that can classify HTTP traffic quickly than other method in multiple dimensions. Furthermore, we suggest a hierarchical signature structure to remove redundancy among signatures and methods to improve the speed of the pattern-matching process by reflecting a feature of the hierarchy structure. Evaluation of the suggested method through application to actual campus network traffic provided several in-depth traffic-classification results.
