Abstract
Various mobile user equipment has popped up everywhere, and is being used simultaneously in close proximity indoors and outdoors, and consequently interference often occurs among mobile devices. In this paper we evaluate the interference effect between LTE user equipment in a dense environment using the adjacent frequency band. An interference scenario and an analytic methodology considering the real user distribution are established and Monte-Carlo simulations in terms of throughput loss to evaluate interference effects on the LTE user equipment by other LTE user equipment are performed. From the simulation results, we confirm that the additional ACIR does not need to guarantee less than 5% throughput loss for outdoor environments and an additional ACIR of 6 ~ 14dB is required for indoor environments with a cell radius of 250m. The suggested methodology and results can be used to derive technical criteria for frequency sharing between user terminals using adjacent frequency.
