초록
A gain-clamped semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) based on compensating light generated from amplified spontaneous emission was studied. Gain was measured for two input signal powers of -25 and -15 dB. It was shown that the proposed amplifier has a low noise figure as well as good gain clamping characteristics.
